ABOUT US

The Dough Girl Foundation began as the passion project of Veronica Alcaraz and Margaret "Mar" Diego in 2016, which sought to help at-risk communities by cultivating a passion for the Culinary Arts.

A Marine Corps veteran, Veronica Alcaraz, leads the Economic Empowerment program with both an experience and an understanding of the hardships many people from at-risk communities face. It is her goal that this program will both teach, inspire, and result in students learning or enhancing their business acumen, build foundational personal financial skills, and encourage participants to open their own businesses one day.

"Financial freedom is something we all can learn and is where intergenerational wealth comes from. Building your financial knowledge and setting good financial habits early on is key." - Veronica Alcaraz, Co-Founder of Dough Girl
